Go to the project

Is this one of the most important things that would help you to be active?
Vote for this if what is most important to you is being able to talk to others and make friends whilst being active. This is all about linking you in with like-minded and welcoming people when being active and being with them whilst you are doing an activity.
If you are voting for this, we'd love to hear more about why this would be helpful for you and what impact this could have on your life.

Being able to join a walking group, exercise class for my age group, not being embarrassed b the younger generation in said class. Feeling left out as on my own, sadly my friends are active or healthy enough to think of exercise now. Maybe walk slower than most, still want to keep going, doing exercise. Used to walk miles around Havant borough, Stanstead, Staunton, Haylingbeaches. Emsworth, wouldlike to go walk again with companion.

Having streets that are attractive, interesting in layout and uses, include alot of green infrastructure, are safe and not dominated by cars would encourage me to walk more and further afield. If more people are walking and playing in the streets there is great likelihood of social interaction and improve wellbeing. Please ensure the streets of new developments are the top focus for design and the planning case officers and Councillors are determined to get this right. Improvements to existing poor quality designed streets should also be a top priority project for Members and senior officers.
