Is this one of the most important things that would help you to be active?

This is all about active travel and how you can make short journeys without using a car - this includes elements such as availability of cycle lanes, good public transport links or safe pavements.

If you are voting for this, we'd love to hear more about why this would be helpful for you and what impact this could have on your life.

I agree John but it would also be good to have good east west connections and a cycle route down the eastern side of the Island. I would also suggest that regular and affordable cycle and walking connections to Portsmouth via the Hayling ferry would encourage using sustainable transport modes rather than the car.
Creating an all weather cycle path from the bottom of Hayling Island to Havant would help embed cycling as a way of getting about. It could be the Hayling Billy track or by creating combined cycle/footpath alongside the A3023
I’m proved cycle lanes, preferably separate from foot traffic would help encourage more people to leave the car at home. There also needs to be secure storage for cycles at popular destinations, as simply locking a bike to a post is not sufficient to protect against theft.
