The current Waitrose building could be converted into a playhouse / theatre at night with additional daytime facilities including a cafe, and defined leisure activities. It could model the Havant “Spring centre but on a larger scale.
People are not aware of the various groups and activities available in the area, it could become a venue to provide information about things of interest. This venue could become a hub for the community. This sort of building would provide a very high utilisation with daytime activities and shows/ films etc in the evenings.
This site has adequate parking and the passing footfall in the Dukeswalk area would ensure the return on investment is attractive to any developer
