I have seen something similar,
need to have an area of small bungalow housing for younger as well as older abled with disabilities, like a community of peers who can support one another, have a community hall so we can have focused groups like meditation, chair yoga/exercise plus support groups, so we don’t have to travel miles to access
All homes inside have either 2 bedroom as some partners cannot sleep in same room let alone bed because of medical equipment, or 1 bedroom if all is needed, built in wardrobe shelving in each room to store clothes s etc
kitchen to have low working units , sink so can be used comfortably from chair or wheelchair, cupboards again lower down or larder style more accessible all white goods to be in same area utility space for a washer & drier shelving to store folded clothes & washing basket before putting away, everything on same level ground
complete tiled wet room again easier to clean, not half tiled which is what we ended up with when we applied for a grant, now 15 years on desperate to have replaced but need a grant as housing won’t refurbish it
2 storage cupboard’s for towels and another for coats and shoes in hall
sliding patio doors to small patio Garden witch is big enough to have a brick shed with electrics for mobility scooter to side of house & enough space for summer house or gazebo to sit under again all one level
couple of solar panels on roof to help supply electric to home keep costs down of using medical equipment any excess goes back to energy suppliers to store & use for other homes
in return I would be able to give up my house & large garden that doesn’t have to have regular visits for stairlift maintenance, wouldn’t need to apply for grants to make this home more manageable for husband & I who are both disabled, finding this home a struggle and cannot find another suitable home that doesn’t need changes made before we can move in.
small playground of climbing frames slides swings etc for children & visiting grandchildren
have fruit trees planted around for residents to enjoy some fruits like apples, pears, blueberries etc for landscaping plus good for environment
