Finally the refurb it deserves

From "Springwood Play Area"

So happy that this park is going to get a refurb, it's such a busy park and used everyday by children from the local school of all ages, could really do with being made bigger as so much open space around it for this to be an option, an area for younger children and an area for older children would be good. Keep the roundabout kids love that. More swings as always waiting a long time to get on. A picnic area would be a good option , seating area. Get rid of the dangerous high slide and replace with a safer option with maybe a tree house type slide . Zip wire would be good. Monkey bars as kids love these too . And a nice place for the children to go , it's been in such an awful state for so long and it's the only park within a big radius that is used every single day . About time we got parks like Portsmouth council provide down town.

Thanks for providing such a comprehensive bit of feedback Kirsty. I assure you that this will be considered when putting together a design. I feel the need to manage expectations a little though regarding the size of the area. The budget for this project is reasonable, but not finite. For this reason we have to consider what will be the most efficient use of the funds available to us. Removing and replacing fences and enlarging the play area would eat into the budget considerably. That said, any suggestions on how we could make best use of the space currently available would be very much welcomed. I should also say that there are some exciting discussions about what to do with the spaces outside of the playpark, it is just that these are managed by other teams within the council.
Thanks for your detailed feedback, very helpful!
