The regeneration of the Jubilee play park is a good example as it has much better equipment now for younger and older children alike, a lot of parents use Springwood park after school particularly with younger siblings too and there is very little choice of equipment. Often a group of children will congregate at the top of the one big slide which can be dangerous, so a big play structure would be great with options for small and older children.
The wooden structures in the play park on Darnel avenue in Waterlooville would suit the surrounding green areas and woods.
Picnic benches in the green areas surrounding the park would be lovely, I live 5 minutes walk away and would use the park a lot more if it had better equipment and vandalism was better monitored. On many occasions there has been vomit in the playground or other substances all over the place. More seating inside the park for parents would be welcome too.
