Hayling Island park and ride

Green issues need to be front of mind to protect our beautiful coastal landscape and to prevent further global climate change. The railway line to Hayling Island should be re- established serving as a summer shuttle service to encourage visitors to leave their car behind. Visitors would park at Langstone and ride onto Hayling. It should run alongside a new cycle path. The existing road bridge should only be used for residents of the borough or for business use. A toll for non residents wishing to drive onto the Island could be used to pay for the upkeep of the shuttle service.
