Picnic bench, a more nature/environmental feeling park.
From "Springwood Play Area"
Go to the project
The surroundings could be inspiration for the new park. Using nature and the environment to make a sustainable and environmentally friendly play area. Safer equipment- my children and now my children's children all use the play equipment and I still shudder with fear at that slide!
More seating/table areas for picnics and get together. Equipment for all ages. More sports equipment for older children.
The green space we have is incredible, how can we make more use of it?
Interactional play, cause and effect, bird spotting boards. Insect identification boards. Sensory equipment, sounds, touch, etc.

With yet more open space and woodland (Campdown) being replaced by yet more houseing. Every park should be as natural as possible. Trees for shade and help prevent flooding. Seating assured. No plastic or hard surfaces, and always natural options of grass, sand, wood chips, grass. Hedges if possible for connectivity. Water fountain and usual play equipment. Musical and tactile games for children with disabilities.
