Hi there,

We have recently moved from Southsea near bransbury park to bedhampton, we have 5 children and our closest park is bidbury.

One thing that all the children big and small enjoyed was the skate park, kids scooters are very popular with them, we have been added to a community what's app groupe and there are lots of kids between 6 and 14 in the bedhampton area that are always playing on skateboards and scooters in our road so I feel anything even small would be very popular with the kids.

Havant BC has recently supported a community led project on Hayling Seafront to replace a run down skatepark. You might be interested to know how much that project cost. Overall the cost was £207,000, this was funded through £80,000 from historic developer contributions that the council held; £70,000 from Veolia Environment Trust; £10,000 from the Fatface Foundation and £47,000 generated by the local community. The key point of this was that the project was community led by a very strong group of users of the existing run down skatepark.

No artificial grass please. Toilets and a drinking fountain. Usual play equipment to include bounce, climbing, swing, slide activities, musical play and wildlife zone
