Support better recycling - Speak to your business partner Norse.

From "Corporate Strategy"

I think you can achieve this starting small with existing services. Take a look at the existing Norse partnership. The current recycling and waste collection service is abysmal. Collections days are often missed. If recycling bins are full, recycling might stop if residents don't have the storage.

If I want to add garden waste recycling I have to wait until April 1st to subscribe or risk losing money. But I can't control when I subscribe as Norse is at capacity and new registration paused.

If this is truly going to be a profitable partnership; demand should be a good problem to have. More so when it's a paid service like garden waste. Is the team being scaled to meet demand?

PS I'm not sure what the partnership terms are. Transparency is lacking in this area and it matters because this is the worst council for waste collection reliability I have experienced (out of 5 over 15 years).

Many of us try our best to recycle at home, not helped much by excessive plastic, mixture of materials and unclear labelling. Then it's up to HCC to sort and dispose of properly and fully to avoid landfill and should be dealt with locally not exported to cause pollution elsewhere
