All of this is interlinked so additional housing on Hayling is hampered by risk of Flooding, transport (roads) and lack of medical and other facilities that necessitate travel off the Island. Why are the apartments in Gunwharf such as success but those on Hayling are less so? Hayling needs a bigger 'village for shops and services so it is a one stop location for everyday needs and to be a hub for specialist retailers for example water sports and renting paddleboards, etc and evening eating and entertainment for families and adults. Business do best when they are clustered so we know why we are going to Hayling. Housing developments should look like they are seaside homes with rendering in white or pastel colours to create a 'vibe'. of being on Hayling and not just anywhere. A park and ride, perhaps at Langstone to reduce visiting traffic, like Oxford. Make more of Hayling as the birth place of windsurfing.
@Grainne Rason Thank you for your detailed feedback, very much appreciated.
Thanks for your comment. What impact does this have on the local area? What would you prefer to see implemented?
