Timing of most fitness classes doesn’t suit workers
From "Active Wellbeing"

I’m 56 and I work full time from home. I walk my dog every day but I’d also like to get involved in Pilates and yoga (activities less strenuous on the body). Most classes are in working hours. Any classes at Horizon require membership which is too expensive for the limited evening classes available. It’s really crucial to encourage people to take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing but the cost often makes this prohibitive.

Hi Angela, thanks for your comments, and I agree we do need more outside of working hours. We have tried to increase activities at these times on our Get Up and Go programme at HBC but will try and do more. Our activities are mostly part funded to make them cheaper, such as beginner circuits in Waterlooville which is Thursday nights / Saturday mornings and £2 a week. It might be worth checking the website homepage as there's a live timetable. www.getupandgohavant.com
