Building a Better Future Plan

We asked for your feedback on the Local Plan for the borough of Havant, which sets out the vision for our area's future and how we will collectively address multiple needs such as housing, industry, the environment, heritage and more.

This exercise was live between October and November 2022 and received 98 responses here on Go Vocal (with over 600 others responses via different methods).

You said that the following key topics were considered to be your top priorities:

• The natural environment (including local nature designations, open spaces and designated landscapes)
• Provision of infrastructure (including transport, water, health and education infrastructure)
• Climate change, flood risk and low-carbon design

We did take your views into account when preparing the next version of the Building a Better Future Plan and used your views to shape a further consultation this revised Plan, scheduled to take place in 2025. This Plan includes the input provided in the above engagement exercise and seeks to again understand your views on the more developed proposals being put forward. Information on this public consultation will be added to these pages in the coming months.
