Emsworth Play Area

Emsworth Play Area was refurbished in December 2021. This was a full site refurbishment including new surfacing and equipment. This included;

A large multi unit,
Accessible roundabout,
Swings,
Climbing frames
Renovated rocking horse

Cree Butler4 years ago We have lived in Waterlooville area jnow for a good two years, and have found that most of the play parks are in this specific area. Since having my daughter last year, we found it was a good way to get out the house and socialise with other parents. Now my daughter is walking parks have become a huge impact in our life and she loves nothing more than to visit the local parks. We recently went to the new park in jubilee which we found a good amount for her to be able to play with, as well as facilities like benches in the park so we could sit and have lunch together as you find usually there's no seating for parents in the park. Although the facilities in the park are all brilliant, I found a huge positive was the floor with in the park, it wasn't concrete many children have accidents and the floor was soft tarmac which meant my daughter wouldn't end up with lots of scratches or scrapes. Which was a huge positive for me

Liam Southall4 years ago A great play area within the park with something for all ages. Its bright, its colourful, has climbing, swinging, sliding options! Allows a variety of ages to be able to play and enjoy the play equipment within the park.It is great to see the rocking horse back! I remember this from my childhood and has been great for my own children to play on this. The park is great to visit when we are with my children's grandparents, means the children can play whilst we watch from just outside with the dog.

Tyler Howells4 years ago I very often come to Emsworth park as it is only a walking distance away from my home. It has definitely improved since the refurbishment. My little girl loves the big multi set, as well as the rocking horse the most.I would have definitely liked to see maybe a zip line in there or something. However I will say that my little girl is sufficiently out of breath and satisfied by the end of a bout in the park. My only issue is that on some busy days it may not be possible to get seating as there aren’t enough benches. Whilst I’m with my baby it’s a necessity to sit down to feed him and if it’s busy I may have wonder away from the park to a further bench just to sit down. Which annoys my daughter greatly as I bring her out the park to do so. The refurb has definitely had a positive impact on my family. My daughter is way more excited to walk down there now, I quite often get asked if we can go there. It definitely wasn’t as often before. It saves me travelling to other parks as much as she doesn’t get bored as quickly. I would consider there is adequate seating for future parks. Also I would consider zip lines as my daughter loves them. As well as this I would have maybe thought about high fences for that park. You often get children playing football on the green And occasionally one comes flying over. It used to be high fencing round that park so unsure as to why it changed.
