Hayling Island Dirt Jumps
We want to hear your views on the potential refurbishment of the Dirt Jump facility located off of Station Road, Hayling, known as Hayling Dirt Jumps.
The current area consists of dirt jumps and other obstacles used for bicycles.
The facility was originally used by a group who were set up to maintain and use the facility, including altering the jumps. Sadly, this is no longer possible due to the need for the council to ensure the facility is safe to use for all, as well as ensuring facilities such as this conform to the relevant safety standards. The site will be retained for sport and physical activity use.
As such, officers have worked with specialist contractors to produce a concept design for new purpose-built provision.
To ensure that any new provision meets the needs of the community we are keen to hear your thoughts on the concept designs.

Concept Design for Hayling Island Dirt Jumps *
* Please note that this is an indicative layout and no decision has been made on the final design of the site.
The concept design has been worked up with an industry leading contractor and is made up from tarmac macadam and includes obstacles such as; berms, straights, pump bumps, doubles, triples, tabletops, step ups and angled rollers, amongst other things. The concept is aimed at users of all abilities and is designed for community use, including coaching and events.
The design allows users to use the facility in sections, areas or as a continuous loop.
